From September 13 to 14, 2025, members of the Shiomi Laboratory enjoyed a two-day lab trip to Nikko.

The trip included visits to iconic site such as the Kegon Falls, and a relaxing stay at a hot spring ryokan—offering a refreshing break surrounded by nature, history, and culture.

The trip provided a great opportunity for students and faculty to connect outside of daily research activities. During the evening gathering, everyone enjoyed conversations ranging from research and future careers to hobbies, which helped strengthen our sense of community.

It was a memorable experience that helped deepen bonds within the lab and provided renewed motivation for our research endeavors.
