Heat Conduction in Nanomaterials

Low dimensional materials have potential to exhibit high lattice thermal conductivity due to their directional transport and restricted phonon scatterings. For instance, carbon nanotube films could be a good thermal interface materials (high thermal conductivity & mechanical compliance). A key challenge here is to understand various effects (eg. size, defects, environment) that manifests in practical situations.
